Section Leader - Renee Hockley-Byam
Renee is married to Ed, who is a great support in all the work she does for NEEBG. They live at Bradwell near Braintree, with Maisie the Border Collie and a collection of assorted chickens and ducks (some lame, most not).
In any spare time left after dealing with badger matters across NEEBG's patch of the county, she earns a crust by working as a researcher for local radio station, BBC Essex, and can regularly be heard on the BBC Essex Nature Trail on Friday afternoons and Saturday mornings.
As well as being Chairman - and the driving force behind the group, she gives talks, and is responsible for monitoring planning applications that may affect badgers and their setts. For about five years or so she has also been the Braintree Section Leader.
The rest of the time (and I don't know how she finds any...) she sleeps!
