the story of Daisy
The case of Daisy was quite unusual in the fact that it involved all three of the badger groups in Essex at that time. She was picked up by a family and taken to a vets in the Essex Badger Protection Group's territory. It was the pleading of the children of the family that persuaded the vet to give her a chance, as her injuries were quite severe. There was a large gash in one of her front legs, a dislocated elbow and concussion. After a couple of days at the vets, she was transferred to a rehabilitation facility provided by the Uttlesford Badger Group, where she remained for the next four weeks. She was then collected by members of our group and successfully released back to her sett which was in the North East Essex area. |
